On Saturday, the Turkish Spor Toto Super Lig's two undefeated teams will square off in Istanbul as front-runners Medipol Basaksehir travel to city rivals Besiktas at 7 p.m. (GMT1600).
The league's 12th week kicked off with two matches Friday, Galatasaray beating Bursaspor 3-1 to avoid a three-game losing streak.
Already hurt by Medipol Basaksehir and Fenerbahce losses in the past two weeks, the Lions started the match poorly and conceded a goal in only the 14th minute.
Galatasaray got the equalizer in the 32nd minute, with a sharp passing by Wesley Sneijder and Lukas Podolski which found winger Yasin Oztekin.
In the second half, the Istanbul powerhouse dominated the match, with Sneijder scoring from a free-kick and striker Eren Derdiyok finishing a counter-attack.
Galatasaray increased their points total to 23 and moved to third place, but city rivals Fenerbahce can claim their spot back with a win over Caykur Rizespor on Sunday.
Bursaspor, meanwhile, dropped to fifth place with 21 points.
In the other match of the day, Aytemiz Alanyaspor defeated Kayserispor 3-0.
