Poland head to quarterfinals
Poland qualified for the Euro 2016 quarterfinals as they knocked out Switzerland on penalties in a round of 16 match at Stade Geoffroy Guichard in Saint-Etienne on Saturday.

Poland eliminated Switzerland 5-4 on penalties following the 1-1 tie in regular time.
Poland midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski opened the score in the 39th minute.
Switzerland increased the pressure in the second half, multiplying the attempts on the Polish goal, most notable of which was forward Haris Seferovic which hit the crossbar.
The equalizer did come in the 82nd minute when midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri scored thanks to a bicycle kick.
Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka was the only player to miss his penalty shot sending the ball wide.
Poland advanced to quarterfinals. They will meet Croatia or Portugal on June 30.
