Turkish Spor Toto Super Lig title contenders Fenerbahce aim to lead the league by winning against tough opponents Trabzonspor in Istanbul on Monday evening.
Regarded as favorites, Fenerbahce failed to beat Trabzonspor in the last three league games in Istanbul.
Fenerbahce last won a league game against Trabzonspor in Istanbul in April 2012. The Istanbul side last won against the Black Sea team in Kadikoy in a Super Lig Super Final play-off match 2-0 as Brazilian midfielder Cristian and Senegalese forward Moussa Sow found the net.
Meanwhile, Trabzonspor want to end their run of bad results in Kadikoy.
The Black Sea side has been unable to beat Fenerbahce in league matches in Istanbul for 18 years. Trabzonspor had their last win in Kadikoy in the 1997-98 season, winning 3-1.
Trabzonspor have not won the last 18 away league matches against Fenerbahce. They lost 11 games and the rest ended in a draw.
Fenerbahce's Portuguese central midfielder Raul Meireles has been suffering from knee injury thus he will probably miss the match.
The match of the week to be played in Fenerbahce's home ground, Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, will kick-off at 8 p.m. local time (1800 GMT).
Fenerbahce are in second position with 27 points; Trabzonspor are ranked ninth as they have 17 points.
Besiktas want to extend their lead

Leading the league with 29 points, Besiktas will meet Akhisar Belediyespor at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul on Sunday.
Besiktas want to extend their lead against closest opponents Fenerbahce. The point margin between Besiktas and Fenerbahce in the league table is two.
Besiktas' Turkish midfielder Necip Uysal is suspended for the match; defender Ersan Gulum and German midfielder Tolgay Arslan are injured.
The match between Besiktas and Akhisar Belediyespor will begin at 5 p.m. (1500 GMT).
Galatasaray want to wake from nightmare
Defending Super Lig winners Galatasaray will play away against Kasimpasa in Istanbul on Sunday evening. The Lions are drifting away from the top of the league.
In their previous league match Galatasaray were stunned by Antalyaspor 3-3 at their home ground, the Turk Telekom Arena.
Galatasaray are in third spot with 22 points. Kasimpasa are in sixth place as the other Istanbul team has 19 points.
Visitors Galatasaray's Turkish midfielder Hamit Altintop is still injured so will miss the match.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray's new manager Mustafa Denizli will manage his team for the first time this season.
The match at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium will kick-off at 8.15 p.m. (1815 GMT).
