Serbia wins EuroBasket Women 2015

Serbia has won the EuroBasket Women 2015 title, defeating France 76-68 in Budapest on Sunday.

France made a flying start and managed to increase the margin to seven after first quarter, 22-15. However, Serbia fought back to end the second quarter, 33-32.
Playing effectively both in offense and defense, Serbia started to increase the point gap and entered to the fourth quarter four points front, 53-49.
In the last quarter Serbia did not let their opponents France back into the game and won the clash 76-68.
It was Serbia's first overall win in the competition.
Serbian small forward Sonja Petrovic and guard Ana Dabovic were on fire against France. Petrovic scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Dabovic tallied 25 points. Additionally U.S.-born Serbian power forward Danielle Page scored 12 points for her side.
French center Sandrine Gruda scored 16 points and small forward Diandra Tchatchouang hit 15. French point guard Celine Dumerc and center Isabelle Yacoubou reached double digits in points but their performances were not enough to win the title.
French center Sandrine Gruda, Spanish forward Alba Torrens, Serbian small forward Sonja Petrovic, her fellow citizen Ana Dabovic and French point guard Celine Dumerc have been picked for All-Star Five.
Dabovic has been named as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
