Czechs secure point against Croatia

Czech Republic earns draw after trailing 2-0 in Saint-Etienne

The Czech Republic came back from a two-goal deficit to draw with Croatia on Friday in a Euro 2016 match marred by crowd trouble.

Croatia took the lead through winger Ivan Perisic in the 37th minute before team-mate Ivan Rakitic doubled the lead after half-time at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard in Saint-Etienne.

However, the Czechs struck back through Milan Skoda's 76th minute header before Tomas Necid drove home a penalty in the 93rd minute.

The Group D match was halted for five minutes towards the end as flares were thrown from the stand housing Croatian fans and fighting broke out.

Croatia lead the group with four points while the Czech Republic is in third place with a point. Pointless Turkey face second-placed Spain later in the evening in Nice.
