Arsenal have loaned goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to Italian side Roma for a season, the London club said in a statement on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Pole - who has let in more Premier League goals than any other Arsenal goalkeeper - was relegated to the bench by David Ospina last season and is surplus to requirements at the Emirates following the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea.
Szczesny played 212 matches for Arsenal since 2010 and featured in 29 games last season.
