Samuel Eto'o inks Antalyaspor

Cameroonian striker, formerly with Barcelona and Inter Milan, agrees to three-year contract with first-division side

Cameroonian footballer Samuel Eto'o signed a three-year agreement with Turkish side Antalyaspor, the club announced on Friday.
Press official Hasan Ali Ceylan said an official signing ceremony would be postponed till July 7 due to health problems experienced by the footballer's father.
On Friday, the 34-year-old player met Antalyaspor trainer Yusuf Simsek and was briefed about the club's Hasan Subasi Facility.
"Eto'o will significantly contribute to Antalyaspor and Turkish football," Ceylan told Anadolu Agency.
He said the club was in contact with Algerian goalkeeper Rais M'Bolhi and was making efforts to transfer Ronaldinho.
"We want to progress on our road with confident steps by making the best transfers in accordance with the club's interests," Ceylan added.
Eto'o has played for leading sports clubs including Barcelona and Inter Milan. He is the most decorated African player, having won the African Player of the Year Award four times, a record.
He was also a part of the Cameroonian national football team that won the gold in 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics.
Last year, Antalyaspor finished fifth in Turkey's PTT 1st League, the second division under Spor Toto Super League, and qualified for the first division after a play-off run that saw it go past two rivals.
