Napoli stun Wolfsburg in Germany

Napoli ease past Wolfsburg 4-1 in UEFA Europa League quarter-finals first leg in Germany

Italian club Napoli beat German team Wolfsburg 4-1 in quarter-finals first leg at Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg on Thursday.
Napoli's Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain finished in one on one position in the area in 15th minute and Italians took the lead, 1-0. Belgian midfielder Dries Mertens made the assist.
Napoli doubled the score in 23th minute when Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik made a classy finish in the box. Higuain produced a deadly assist to Hamsik beating the offside trap.
Hamsik made it three in 64th minute of the game by finding the net with a close range shot, 3-0. Wolfsburg midfielder Josuha Guilavogui made a critical mistake before the goal. Napoli winger Jose Callejon took advantage of the mistake by passing the ball to Hamsik.
In 77th minute Napoli winger Manolo Gabbiadini scored the fourth goal for his team with a header, 4-0. Lorenzo Insigne crossed the ball.
Three minutes later home team Wolfsburg scored when their Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner tapped the ball into the net. Croatian Ivan Perisic assisted.
Napoli have a great advantage for advancing to semis in Europa League.
Second legs in the tournament will be played on April 23, Thursday.
