Arsenal's French rightback Mathieu Debuchy will be out of action for up to three months after injuring his left ankle in a match against Manchester City on September 13.
According to news on the English Premier League club's website on Monday, Gunners' manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Debuchy's surgery.
"He has had surgery and will be out for three months," Wenger said.
"It all went well, but it can be a week or two earlier or a week or two later, but it will be around three months," he added.
The 29-year-old French right-back has played 25 times for France. He was transferred from Newcastle to Arsenal in July 2014.
