Nasri's contract is due to run until the end of the 2014-15 season, but he is eager to commit his future to the Blues and is hopeful negotiations will begin shortly.
"Talks? I know they are planned," he told L'Equipe. "The officials called my agent to tell him we have to talk. Then, we will see."
Last weekend's Capital One Cup success means City have now won all three domestic trophies in recent seasons but, they are targeting a Champions League victory in the coming years.
"The objective is to win the Champions League in a few years' time," Nasri added.
"But when you are happy somewhere, I can't see why you should have to change scene."
