Maher is the back up

Fenerbahçe is still working to sign a number 10. Yellow Canaries are tyring to beat Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech. After Twente's 3-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam, Ziyech said goodbye to Twente fans via social media and expected to decide which club is his next destination today. Ajax Sportive Director Marc Overmars told Holland press that they made their official offer. Overmars added: "We asked Twente nicely to meet him and saw that Ziyech wants to play for us."

Fenerbahçe stays hopeful for Ziyech but has a Plan B, too. De Telegraaf signaled that Fenerbahçe is going to sign Adam Maher if they can't finalize the deal for Hakim Ziyech. Maher, who is also Moroccan like Ziyech, plays as a number 10. 23 years old player scored 4 goals alongside 3 assists in 26 games last season. Hull City is also interested in him.

8 million Euros from Ajax

De Telegraaf claimed that Twente is not interested in Fenerbahçe's offer to loan Hakim Ziyech and Ajax put 8 million Euros to the table for him. Twente is insisting on 12 million Euros. It's said that Hakim Ziyech agreed with Ajax and his agent is trying to mediate the deal between two clubs.
