Sitting Dutchman

Robin van Persie has fallen down the pecking order at Fenerbahce since signing from Manchester United and could only watch on from the bench this weekend.

It would appear that life away from Old Trafford is looking far from rosy for former Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie.
The 32-year-old moved to Fenerbahce over the summer and despite a return of four goals in eight games to date for his Turkish employers, the Dutchman's place in Vitor Pereira's team bas been far from set in stone.
Van Persie recently spoke of his unhappiness at being dropped from the Istanbul club's starting line-up for a league clash with Bursapor, telling Lig TV in quotes published by the Telegraph:
"I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes."
And it would appear that the Dutch international was in similarly low spirits during Fener's 2-2 draw with Akhisar Belediye.
After coming off the bench to score twice for the Turkish side in their 2-2 draw with Celtic in the Europa League, Pereira opted to start with Fernandao up front while Van Persie was named among the subs.
So when the Brazilian came up with another brace, RVP was left looking far from happy, with this Vine showcasing his glum response to one of Fernandao's two goals.
Brought on with 18 minutes to go, Van Persie then failed to find the net meaning Fenerbahce had to settle for a point.
But should his dissatisfaction with life in Turkey turn into something more serious and long-term, then the former Arsenal and Manchester United hitman could well be winging his way back to the Premier League.
