Canaries burn down Kayserispor

Yellow Canaries traumatize Kayserispor scoring five goals in the second half. Leaders of Turkish Spor Toto Super League Fenerbahce hammered Kayserispor 5-1 in the last matchday of the season's first half and with this result they increased the gap to 8 points between the runners-up Galatasaray in the league table.

Cristian Baroni's goal from penalty kick opened the deadlock but Kayserispor replied early with Bobo who scored the equaliser by chipping the ball over the goalkeeper at a close range. Just a minute after that goal, Moussa Sow's volley made the score 2-1. Fenebahce continued to put the pressure on the opponents to increase the gap as much as they could and Mehmet Topal found the net wit a near post header, 3-1. Third goal clinched their victory. In 70th minute Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike whacked the ball hard when he trapped the ball with his right foot in the area and scored the fourth goal for Fenerbahce, 4-1. Yellow Canaries were still looking for an overlap and pushed higher up in search of the fifth goal. Left-back Caner Erkin's mid-range rocket from the corner of the box determined the result of the match, 5-1.
In addition to this match, three matches were also played on Sunday and the first half of the season was completed.
