Liverpool wants Besiktas target

Liverpool may have to see off competition from Turkish giants Besiktas if they are to sign Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

L'Equipe reported in December that OM were keen to offload the stopper, and had offered him to potential suitors for €4m.
One of those interested parties is understood to be Liverpool, who may well be tempted at the prospect of signing a seasoned international stopper for such a bargain price.
Klopp is understood to be considering an upgrade on current keeper Belgian goalie Simon Mignolet who hasn't always impressed since arriving from Sunderland in 2013.
Beyond Mandanda, he has also been linked to Stoke City stopper Jack Butland and Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The German coach may need to focus his efforts on the secondary options following rumours in Turkey that Besiktas are looking to rival the Reds for the OM stopper.
