Newcastle reject Eagles bid

Acoording to Express, Newcastle United have rejected a bid from Beşiktaş for Papiss Cisse.

The Black Eagles have drawn up a shortlist of players to replace Demba Ba should the prolific striker leave the club over the summer transfer window.
The Istanbul giants had planned to sign Cisse as a replacement but will have to make a higher bid to tempt the Magpies into selling the Senegalese international.
The experienced striker is keen on staying at Newcastle over the summer and scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for the Premier League outfit last season.
"I'm here, I'm Newcastle and I have one and a half (years on my) contract," he told Sky Sports recently.
"I am a Newcastle striker. I just think about my holiday and when I go back to Newcastle I will try to work hard and try to make the team."
The 30-year-old joined Newcastle from SC Freiburg for €14.5 million back in January 2012.
