Cheick Tiote is the new target

Galatasaray gave up on Lucas Leiva's transfer. Management agreed terms with Liverpool and Leiva but they could not get pass of Jurgen Klopp. Levent Nazifoğlu, who negotiated for Lucas, told that "We had no problem with the player. His manager did not let him. We're going to go for an another player." After this statement Football Director Cenk Ergün had a meeting with agent Palladino, who has the Italia rights of Tiote, after his offer for Mauricio Isla got rejected.

First meeting is positive
It's learned that 30 years old Newcastle United player is positive about playing for Galatasaray. Ergün will travel to England to negotiate terms with Ivorian midfielder's club. According to reports, United Arab Emirates club AL Jazira also wants to sign Tiote.

Leiva's wife saddened
Some news claimed that Leiva did not sign with Galatasaray because his wife did not want to live in Turkey. After that, Galatasaray fans got mad at her and Ariana Lima became a target on social media. Upon this reaction, Leiva's wife shared a post including a "sad face emoji" and wrote "If he could get a permission from Liverpool, we would be there. I respect my husband's decisions. I don't deserve those insults." and underlined she wasn't a factor about that decision.

He chose Cagliari
Galatasaray missed Mauricio Isla while waiting for Lucas Leiva. Yellow reds asked for time until monday but when they wanted one more extra day, Chilean player accepted Cagliari's offer.
