Galatasaray has finally achieved its goal on Eren and ended transfer wrestle after 7 years.
The yellow-and-reds wanted to sign Eren in 2009 for the first time. That year, team coach Frank Rijkaard wanted a forward player, Galatasaray directors brought his name up but Basel sold Eren to Leverkusen foor 3.8 million euros. Lions then loaned Jo.
One year later, Galatasaray wanted to loan Eren but got a negative response from German club which lead Gala to sign Stancu in the end.
Towards the end of 2011, Eren was on the verge of signing with Galatasaray but Fatih Terim favourited Johan Elmander instead.
In 2003, Eren was on his way to Galatasaray on a loan transfer but Fatih Terim decided otherwise again and asked the club to pay Umut Bulut 3 million euros. Next season, Eren was pun on the second in line again, this time behind Pandev, since Prandelli wanted a second forward, the Lions signed Macedonian player on a free transfer.
EREN WILL SIGN THIS FRIDAY
Galatasaray will hold a signing ceremony this friday at TT Arena.
Even though it took some wresling, Galatasaray managed to reach a deal with Kasımpaşa and will sign Eren on a 3 year deal.
Galatasaray will pay 4 million euros to Kasımpaşa and 2 million euros to Eren per year.
