According to the statement made on the Union website on Wednesday, Galatasaray, aka "the Lions" received the fine due to crowd disturbances, field invasions by supporters and the setting off and throwing fireworks and missiles to the pitch.
In addition Galatasaray were given 30 days for arranging compensation with Borussia Dortmund for the material damages caused by the Turkish team's fans.
Home team Borussia Dortmund was also fined €32,000 (40,138) for fans' throwing objects, disturbance and for insufficient organization.
Galatasaray vice president Hamdi Yasaman said that they are going to appeal the sanction since he found it unbalanced and unfair.
