The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) determined on Wednesday that clubs have the right to get UEFA club licenses for the next season.
TFF stated on their website that many Spor Toto Super League clubs, including Akhisar Belediyespor, Besiktas, Bursaspor, Caykur Rizespor, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Genclerbirligi, Istanbul Basaksehir, Kardemir Karabukspor, Sivasspor, Torku Konyaspor and Trabzonspor have their UEFA licenses.
These clubs are able to qualify for UEFA organizations in accordance with their success in the league.
Meanwhile, there are several clubs who could not get the UEFA license such as Mersin Idmanyurdu, Eskisehirspor, Gaziantepspor, Kasimpasa, Balikesirspor and SAI Kayseri Erciyesspor. The TFF Club License Committee had granted an extension of time (30 days) to these clubs.
The UEFA club license enables clubs to play in UEFA organizations (Europa League and Champions League).
