Reigning English Premier League winners Manchester City transferred Swansea City's Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony on Wednesday.
According to City, the Manchester side agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal with 26-year-old Bony keeping him at Maine Road until the end of 2018-19 football season.
Bony's transfer fee has not been revealed; however, German-based football data website "Transfermarkt" suggests that the amount that City paid Swansea City was £28 million ($42.6 million).
Capable of playing as a forward and a striker, Bony joined Premier League side Swansea City from Dutch club Vitesse in July 2013. He drew attention after scoring 35 goals in 70 matches for the Welsh side.
He has been capped for the Ivory Coast 32 times and scored 11 goals since his 2010 debut.
