Saying hello to the new league in a game played in Kadıköy 'sans' spectators, Fenerbahçe beat Antalyaspor by 4-0. Fenerbahçe's super start to the Spor Toto Süper League was undoubtedly due in part to the efforts of Captain Alex de Souza. Alex has once again proven he is still a serious contender with his goal and assist in last night's game alone.
Adding color to last night's game, which was lacking in spectators, a penalization issued at the end of last season, the Brazilian number '10' has finally made new technical director Aykut Kocaman's face smile, after the cold war which was ongoing between the two following the return game played against Young Boys. Alex's compatibility with striker Semih Şentürk up in the front triangle was especially attention-attracting. In fact the two of them together, became the heroes of three goals scored against Antalyaspor.
HIS GOAL: 100 GOALS, 100 ASSISTS
Prior to last night's game, Alex wrote on his twitter account that so far, playing with Fenerbahçe over the past six seasons he has scored 94 goals and 89 assists in 174 league games. Alex went on to state that he wants to reach 100 goals and 100 assists scored.
